Okay... Yesterday was so exciting! I was at work having a normal busy day. It was forecasted to be stormy, but they had not made a big deal about the weather when I had last seen the forecast at 5am so it wasn't even on my mind. I went back to mix some color for a client and a coworker of mine came back at the same time to mix. He said " Are to storm sirens going off?" and opened the back door...and there it was...A HUGE funnel cloud right in front of us! So we stared for a couple minutes before I ran to get my phone to snap a couple pictures. It was so eerie...So close it seemed but going in the opposite direction I assume. You could see it rotating in the sky but it wasn't raining or really even windy. Anyway, when I talked to Jon after the excitement was over he scolded me and informed me that I was NOT a storm chaser and to get inside...hahaha! The storm touched down briefly in a few areas of town doing some damage, but amazingly no one was killed! We were very fortunate to only see it.
In other news, Jack tried eating cereal for the first time Wednesday night. He wasn't a big fan, gagging on every bite, but he slept very well! Jack is getting huge! I think he weighs 18lbs, which I think is what Sophie weighed at a year. Yesterday, before his bath I got some nude pics from the back view that I'm sure he will hate me for at some point, but I couldn't resist. He is just an adorable little roly poly!
Sophie is still making progress in the potty department. Most days she has only 1 accident, some days none at all. She has gotten to a point where here physical appearance isn't changing as quickly as it has for the past 2 years but she shocks me everyday with how quickly she learns new things. She is such a big girl now and while I am so excited for her future, I am equally sad for how fast it is all happening.
We are very proud of them both.
